Iowa Wind Energy Day at the Capitol is an opportunitty to showcase the positive economic impact of the wind energy industry. Iowa is a national leader in percentage of electricity produced from wind, wind related employment, component manufacturing and installed capacity. As a part of a balanced electrical generation portfolio, wind energy helps to stabilize the cost of electricity. The economic benefits of the wind energy industry accrue to landowners, employees of wind related businesses and utilities. Wind farms increase the property tax base of counties and school districts.

Join us as a sponsor and/or exhibitor at this year’s event scheduled for January 16, 2013. It’s a great opportunity to inform our legislative leaders about the benefits of Iowa’s Wind Energy industry! The entire first floor of the rotunda has been reserved for the event.
